Culver's has quietly made a change to its menu that is not sitting well with loyal customers. The fast-food chain, known for its ButterBurgers and frozen custard, has switched from Mello Yello to Cherry Coke at the soda fountain.

The change was noticed by customers several months ago, but Culver's never officially announced it. A supposed store employee took to Reddit in March to share the news, citing a memo that had been circulated.

Culver's has not provided a reason for the switch, but a spokesperson for Coca-Cola, which supplies the new beverage, said that consumer interest in Cherry Coke is growing and Culver's wanted to offer it as an option.
