Curry-Approved Pixel Watch 5 Taps NBA Star for Exclusive Strap

Google's upcoming Made by Google event in New York on August 12 will see the unveiling of the Pixel Watch 5, and it seems that some attendees may be treated to a special edition version. According to MyMobiles, NBA champion Stephen Curry has co-designed a performance-focused strap for the watch.

The standard 45mm LTE Pixel Watch 5 hardware will come bundled with an exclusive woven loop band in stone grey and taupe, featuring bright orange borders and a striped accent. The strap's main feature is a water-repellent coating designed to withstand tough workouts without soaking the fabric.

However, Google has noted that this coating is temporary and will naturally degrade or completely wear off over time through normal use and environmental exposure. This means users should not rely solely on the coating for water resistance.
