Google Photos has been making waves in recent months with various design updates. One of the most significant changes on the horizon is the ability to customize the Collections tab, a feature that's been long awaited by users.

A new report from Android Authority reveals that Google Photos v7.90.0 now includes a dedicated Customize button at the bottom of the Collections tab. This button allows users to drag and rearrange folders such as On this device, Places, and People & pets in a simple interface.

In addition to reordering folders, users can also completely hide some albums, providing an option to reduce clutter in the Collections tab. However, it's worth noting that the pinned section cannot be moved, although users can hide the pinned items using the same interface.

The availability of this feature remains unclear, and there are no guarantees that Google will bring it to the app even though the customization tool appears to be taking shape.
