Cybersecurity Stocks Surge on AI Demand as Nvidia Hits Best Day Since April
Nvidia Corp.'s (NASDAQ:NVDA) forecast for a roughly 70% revenue surge next fiscal year sent the chipmaker up 9%, its best-performing day since April 2025. The company's optimism lifted the technology sector, making it the only S&P 500 sector in the green by midday.
The cybersecurity stocks rallied sharply, fueled by expectations of increased demand for AI-driven security solutions. CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:CRWD) soared 17.6% to $222.38, while Okta Inc. (NASDAQ:OKTA) jumped 28.0% to $172.10 after beating earnings estimates.
However, not all companies fared well. Hormel Foods Corp. (NYSE:HRL) tumbled 9.2% to $21.52 due to weak retail demand and soft private-label snack nut volumes. Other staples and retail stocks also declined, including Burlington Stores Inc. (NYSE:BURL), which fell 6.4% to $293.96.
