D23 Convention Unveils Disney's Future Plans
The biennial D23 convention has taken over the Anaheim Convention Center, bringing together Disney's major brands and offering fans a glimpse into the future of film, streaming, theme parks, and more.
Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro welcomed attendees to the event, emphasizing his commitment to understanding what it means to be a fan. 'I believe that in order to lead this company, you have to understand what it actually feels like to be a fan,' he said.
The Disney Entertainment Showcase kicked off on Friday, August 14, at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET, featuring a sizzle reel of major projects and a dance performance from Dancing With the Stars.
