D23 Fan Convention Unveils Disney Theme Park Projects
Disney fan convention D23 kicked off on Friday, August 14 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim. The three-day event features pavilions dedicated to Walt Disney Imagineering, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and Avatar, offering previews of Disney theme park projects over the next five years.
The Walt Disney Imagineering pavilion showcased scale models of Avatar land and Avengers Campus expansion coming to Disney California Adventure, including a miniature version of the Stark Flight Lab ride vehicle. The D23 media preview included sneak peeks at the Disney+ Hulu Experience, the ESPN booth with the NFL Lombardi trophy, and Disney and Pixar animation pavilions.
Walt Disney Imagineering will host the Horizons: A Carousel of Progress showcase on Saturday, August 15 at the Honda Center. The event will answer questions about current attractions under construction while revealing new surprises in the early stages of development.
