Dallas Challenges New York's Financial Dominance with 'Y'all Street' Movement
Dallas, Texas is rapidly emerging as a new financial hub to rival New York City's Wall Street. The city's aggressive tax incentives and deregulation policies have made it an attractive destination for major investment banks and corporations.
Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Bank of America are building massive office complexes in the region, with Goldman's campus capable of housing over 5,000 employees. Financial sector jobs in Dallas have surged 23.2% since February 2020, outpacing New York City's 6% growth during the same period.
The Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) has officially launched, positioning itself as a rival to the NYSE and Nasdaq. However, top executives at major banks still largely remain in Manhattan, and TXSE has yet to secure its first listed company.
