Danica Pension Buys New Stake in IBM as Institutional Investors Flock to Tech Giant

Danica Pension Livsforsikringsaktieselskab, a Danish pension fund, has acquired a new stake in International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), according to its latest 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The fund purchased 68,802 shares of IBM's stock, valued at approximately $19,348,000.

This is not the only significant investment in IBM by institutional investors in the second quarter. BlackRock Inc., Bank of New York Mellon Corp, Norges Bank, Capital World Investors, and Deutsche Bank AG have also made new stakes or increased their existing holdings in the company.

IBM's stock has been trading below its 50-day and 200-day moving averages, indicating mixed technical momentum. Despite this, analysts remain optimistic about the company's growth prospects, citing its advancements in quantum computing and strategic investments in AI and physics acceleration.
