Danica Pension Invests $15 Million in Travelers Companies

Danica Pension Livsforsikringsaktieselskab has made a significant investment in The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE:TRV) by purchasing 68,259 shares of its stock for approximately $15,050,000. This new stake was revealed through the company's most recent Form 13F filing with the SEC.

The purchase price values each share at around $219.64, which is slightly lower than the current market price of TRV on NYSE, which opened at $367.96 on Wednesday.

This investment comes as several other institutional investors have also bought and sold shares of TRV in recent quarters. Berman McAleer LLC boosted its position by 3.5% during Q2, while Willner & Heller LLC lifted its stake by 2.7%. Spinnaker Trust increased its holdings by 1.7% in Q1.

TRV's quarterly earnings report on July 17th showed a profit of $10.04 per share, surpassing the consensus estimate of $5.41 and marking an increase of .3% compared to the same quarter last year. The company also announced a quarterly dividend of $1.25 per share for September 30th.
