These centers house the 'Cloud' where companies like Cisco, Amazon, Meta, Google, and others lease and sell computing storage and data capacity. The increasing demand for more computing capacity and storage is driven by advancements in A.I., 5G adoption, and visual content streaming.
Crane references Mark Twain's quote: 'I'm all for Progress. It's the damn change that I am against!' He seems to be concerned about the pace of technological progress and its impact on society. Crane emphasizes that data centers consume significant storage space and bandwidth, which is causing concern among some individuals.
