DE-CIX Boosts Cloud Resilience with Geo-Redundant Azure Connectivity
DE-CIX, a leading internet exchange operator, has expanded its global AI-ready connectivity by implementing geo-redundant connectivity to Microsoft Azure in major cities across North America, Europe, and Asia.
The move aims to help organizations build more resilient and stable cloud environments. DE-CIX offers interconnection services in 60 locations globally and connects over 100 countries through its network of data centers.
DE-CIX's implementation of Azure ExpressRoute Metro provides dual-homed connectivity across separate Azure peering locations in the same metropolitan area, resulting in high availability for latency-sensitive enterprise applications and AI workloads.
The resilient architecture is now available at DE-CIX's exchanges in New York, Frankfurt, Madrid, Amsterdam, and Singapore. DE-CIX has 29 on-ramps to Azure in 24 cities worldwide and offers remote access from all exchange locations using its global backbone.
