Decker Steps Down: Home Depot CEO Takes Temporary Leave

Home Depot's CEO Ted Decker will take a temporary medical leave of absence for a few months. The company announced this on Wednesday, stating that Decker is expected to return within the next few months. During his absence, finance chief Richard McPhail and senior executive vice president Ann-Marie Campbell will oversee CEO operations.

The interim appointments were made in alignment with Decker's recommendation. Home Depot declined to comment further on Decker's leave of absence. The company is set to report its quarterly results on August 18.
