Home Depot's President and CEO Ted Decker will be taking a temporary medical leave of absence. The US DIY retailer announced this move, expecting Decker to return within the next few months.

In his absence, two long-serving executives from the company will oversee the operations of the office of the CEO: Ann-Marie Campbell, Senior Executive Vice President, will provide oversight of Home Depot's day-to-day operations, while Richard McPhail, EVP and Chief Financial Officer, will provide oversight of the company's financial management and Pro subsidiaries.

Greg Brenneman, independent lead director, will chair the board during Decker's leave. Home Depot has not disclosed the reason for Decker's temporary absence or a specific return date.
