Delaware Partners with Google to Expand Digital Skills Training
The State of Delaware has partnered with Google's Grow with Google initiative to expand access to digital skills training for its residents. This partnership aims to bridge the gap in digital skills, as nearly two-thirds of new jobs created since 2010 require high- or medium-level digital skills.
Through this collaboration, Delaware residents will have increased access to Google Career Certificates and AI courses designed to prepare individuals for in-demand careers in growing industries. These certificates can be completed online within three to six months of part-time study and do not require a degree or prior experience.
The program has already seen success globally, with over one million people graduating from the Google Career Certificates program since its launch. In the United States, more than 400,000 individuals have graduated, with over seventy percent reporting a positive career impact within six months of completion.
