Delta and Amex Unveil Limited-Time Offers with Round-Trip Flight Certificates and Bonus Miles
American Express and Delta Air Lines have launched limited-time welcome offers running from August 27 to November 4, 2026. The offers are part of their 30-year cobrand relationship, aimed at attracting new card members. One of the standout benefits is the Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express consumer card, which grants two round-trip Delta Comfort flight certificates and 50,000 bonus miles after $10,000 in spend within six months.
The certificates are valid for travel within the 48 contiguous US states, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. However, there's a catch: the certificates don't cover transatlantic flights, such as the Lagos-Atlanta route. This means that Nigerian travelers who fly Delta's Lagos-Atlanta route may not be able to use the benefit for their initial journey.
Other benefits include the Reserve Business card offering 200,000 bonus miles after $20,000 in spend and the Platinum card providing up to 90,000 bonus miles plus a $300 statement credit. The Gold card offers up to 80,000 bonus miles plus a $250 statement credit. These offers are directed at eligible new card members, so their value depends on whether a traveler's spending pattern meets the threshold within six months.
