Delta Flight's Sudden Descent Forces Emergency Landing
A Delta Air Lines flight was forced to divert to Las Vegas after experiencing a sudden cabin pressurization failure.
The Boeing 737-900ER, operating as Delta Flight 2311, dropped roughly 27,000 feet in about ten minutes before landing safely on September 6.
The incident occurred while the flight was en route from Los Angeles International Airport to Salt Lake City, carrying 174 passengers and six crew members.
Air traffic control recordings captured the emergency unfolding, with one pilot telling controllers that they were in rapid descent and diverting to Las Vegas.
