Diageo Taps Procter & Gamble Vet for Asia-Pacific Leadership Role
Diageo has appointed Sujay Wasan as its new president for Asia-Pacific (APAC), replacing John O'Keeffe who moved to head up Diageo North America in March. Wasan joins from Procter & Gamble, where he spent nearly 28 years, most recently leading the Oral Care unit in North America.
The appointment comes ahead of Diageo's full-year 2026 results, which will be reported on August 6, along with new CEO Dave Lewis's plans for the business. Wasan is set to start his role on August 15 and will sit on Diageo's executive committee, reporting directly to Lewis.
Lewis praised Wasan as 'a global leader with a proven track record of consistently delivering breakthrough business results.'
