Diego Luna to Receive Honorary Heart of Sarajevo for Distinguished Career
Diego Luna, a renowned Mexican director and actor, is set to receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo tonight at the Coca-Cola Open Air Cinema. This prestigious award recognizes his outstanding career in cinema and significant contributions to the industry.
Luna's illustrious career spans over two decades, with notable roles in films such as 'Y tu mamá también' (2001), which marked his international breakthrough, and more recently, he starred in and executive-produced the Disney+ series 'Andor' (2022), earning multiple Golden Globe nominations.
In addition to his acting career, Luna has also made a name for himself as a director. His documentary 'J.C. Chávez' (2007) marked his debut, followed by his narrative feature 'Abel' (2010), which earned the Horizontes Latinos Award at the San Sebastián International Film Festival and a Mexican Academy Award for Best Screenplay.
