JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has expressed his belief in the American Dream, despite skepticism from Gen Z. According to Dimon, the American Dream remains 'totally achievable' for most people, but it's the bottom 20% who have been left behind, driving polarization among social classes.

Dimon's own family is an example of the American Dream, with his grandparents immigrating to the US from Greece without high school diplomas. He now leads the biggest bank in the US and is leveraging its might to increase opportunities across the country through JPMorgan's multiyear American Dream Initiative.

However, only a fifth of adults ages 18 to 29 believe in the possibility of the American Dream, according to a report from AP-NORC. Dimon acknowledges that policymakers should be working hard to fix policy that has allowed inequality and agrees that capitalism has its flaws.
