Dimon Details JPMorgan's LA Investments and Housing Initiative
JPMorgan Chase Chairman & CEO Jamie Dimon spoke to CNBC's Leslie Picker on 'Closing Bell: Overtime' about his bank's investments in Los Angeles. JPMorgan acquired Washington Mutual in 2008 and has since expanded its presence in the city, with over 700 branches.
Dimon emphasized that LA is a key market for the bank due to its growing economy and innovation sector. The bank plans to invest in small businesses through its partnership with the L.A. Olympics in 2028.
In addition to its investments, JPMorgan has launched an initiative to support homeownership in the US, allocating $750 billion through 2035. Dimon stated that the goal is to increase affordable housing and lending options for Americans.
