Dimon Leads 40-Company Effort to Tackle AI Risks
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon is leading an effort to address the risks posed by advanced artificial intelligence systems.
Dimon has called on over 40 companies across various industries, including financial services, energy, and telecommunications, to join a country-focused industry group to tackle AI risks.
The initiative began in July and aims to coordinate cross-sector resilience planning, share information, and respond to critical infrastructure threats, including cyber, physical, and geopolitical risk.
Dimon's efforts build on an existing organization, the Alliance for Critical Infrastructure (ACI), which was co-founded by JPMorgan Chase. ACI has been predicting the need to prioritize AI 'years ago' and has gotten critical infrastructure companies working together.
