Dimon Leads Coalition to Protect US Infrastructure from AI Threats

JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon is leading an effort to fortify US infrastructure against AI threats. He has personally recruited top executives from over 40 companies to join the Alliance for Critical Infrastructure (ACI), a coalition aimed at creating a unified front to share intelligence on AI vulnerabilities and coordinate safeguards with the Trump administration.

The ACI was originally created to address cyber, physical, and geopolitical threats but has now sharpened its focus on AI-specific dangers. The group's formation comes as corporate America rapidly deploys AI across various sectors, raising concerns about the technology's potential to supercharge cyberattacks and create new vulnerabilities in financial systems and power grids.

Dimon has been a vocal advocate for caution regarding AI risks, singling out Anthropic's Mythos AI model as a particular concern. He has made direct calls to CEOs of large and regional banks, IT firms, and other companies, urging them to join the ACI. The coalition aims to have a fully operational framework by the end of the year.
