Dimon Leads Industry Effort to Tackle AI Risks as Corporate America Adopts Technology
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon is leading an initiative to tackle AI risks as corporate America rapidly adopts developing technology.
The effort, led by Dimon and the Alliance for Critical Infrastructure (ACI), aims to develop a shared understanding of how AI is being used, its risks, and necessary safeguards. It also seeks to work with the US government on these issues.
Dimon has personally reached out to CEOs of other large and major regional banks and IT companies to enlist them in the initiative, which started in July.
The ACI includes more than 40 companies from various industries, including financial services, energy, water, utilities, telecommunications, airlines, and railroads. The group has a team that focuses on cross-sector resilience planning, information sharing, and responding to critical infrastructure threats.
Dimon emphasized the need for AI risk control, stating that 'you're giving ballistic missiles to individuals with Mythos' when referring to Anthropic's advanced AI model. He warned about its potential risks in July.
