Dimon Meets Healey Amid UK Bank Tax Talks
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon is set to meet with UK Chancellor of the Exchequer John Healey on Wednesday, according to a person familiar with the matter. The meeting comes as the UK government considers imposing a windfall tax on bank profits in its upcoming budget.
The new administration, led by Prime Minister Andy Burnham, has not yet ruled out increasing bank taxes in the budget scheduled for October 28th. This follows strong profits from the UK's largest lenders in recent months.
