JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon has outlined a two-pronged strategy for the bank's capital deployment, focusing on both national security resilience and urban economic revitalization.

During his recent annual executive bus tour in California, Dimon emphasized a $1.5 trillion commitment to national security industries and a $200 million investment aimed at addressing the severe housing supply crisis in San Francisco.

The bank's Security and Resiliency Initiative targets aerospace, defense, manufacturing, energy, and health tech, with over two dozen subcategories including battery storage, munitions, and space launch systems.

Dimon has been vocal about rejecting the narrative that the United States is falling behind in critical defense technology, describing such perceptions as 'frustrating' while highlighting innovation at California-based startups like Impulse Space.
