Dimon Visits Stanislaus County to Discuss Economic Development Initiatives
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon visited Stanislaus County in California as part of a state-wide bus tour to discuss economic development. The visit was an opportunity for Dimon and his team to hear from local business leaders about their priorities for long-term growth.
Stanislaus County officials briefed Dimon on various initiatives, including the Stanislaus 2030 project, which aims to build the labor market through childcare businesses, supplier development, and bio-based product innovation. The county has seen significant progress in these areas, with 129 new childcare businesses launched and $8.7 million in new contracts secured by local suppliers.
Dimon's visit comes on the heels of JPMorgan Chase's commitment to invest $200 million in a waterfront housing project in San Francisco, as well as its pledge to finance 1 million affordable housing units across the country by 2035. The firm has already seen strong financials, with a record quarter reported earlier this week, featuring 27% year-over-year revenue growth and 41% net income increase.
