Dimon Warns CEOs: AI Risks Require Urgent Action, Collaboration
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon is quietly rallying CEOs to prepare for the biggest risks associated with artificial intelligence (AI), according to a report by Reuters. Dimon has personally contacted more than 40 companies across critical infrastructure sectors, including banks and IT companies, as part of an initiative aimed at strengthening security.
The Alliance for Critical Infrastructure (ACI) is a JPMorgan-backed project that seeks to improve understanding of AI's uses, risks, and safeguards. Dimon warned in July that Anthropic's Mythos AI model poses serious security risks, saying it's like 'giving ballistic missiles to individuals' if widely distributed.
The U.S. government has increased coordination with the AI industry to manage risks from advanced AI systems, launching the Gold Eagle initiative in July to help developers, operators, and federal agencies share information on vulnerabilities and coordinate responses.
