Discounted Dividend Stocks: Pfizer, UPS, and Chevron Offer Rare Value
Three high-yield dividend stocks, Pfizer (PFE), UPS (UPS), and Chevron (CVX), are trading at a discount, despite their CEOs' confidence in maintaining payouts. These names have been under pressure due to patent cliffs, volume declines, and commodity swings, but their cash flow continues to clear.
Pfizer's 6% yield is the highest among the three, with an annualized forward dividend of $1.72 per share. The company reaffirmed its adjusted diluted EPS guidance of $2.80 to $3.00 for 2026, which comfortably covers the payout. CEO Albert Bourla stated that even in stretched scenarios, Pfizer will maintain its dividend.
UPS yields 6.39% on an annualized forward dividend of $6.56 per share. The company has guided full-year adjusted EPS of approximately $7.22 and expects 2026 free cash flow to match the dividend. CEO Carol Tomé emphasized that incremental volume today carries better economics due to structural changes.
Chevron's lower yield of 3.44% is backed by a strong balance sheet, with net debt to cash flow from operations at 0.6 times. The company has reaffirmed its long-term target of adjusted free cash flow growth averaging greater than 10% per year through 2030.
These three names share durable cash flow, explicit CEO commitments to the payout, and multiyear cost programs that widen the coverage cushion each quarter. For income investors, they offer a rare combination of skepticism-driven pricing and management teams prioritizing dividends.
