Disney $50 Million Settlement: Claim Your Share Before Deadline
A $50 million settlement has been reached in a US class-action lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company. Eligible customers who paid for YouTube TV or DirecTV Stream subscriptions between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2026 can claim part of the fund.
The deadline to submit claims is today, September 8, 2026. Customers will receive a payout based on their subscription length, with the total amount distributed on a pro-rata basis.
The lawsuit alleged that Disney's business practices pushed up the cost of live television streaming. Although Disney denied wrongdoing, it agreed to the partial settlement as part of a proposed $50 million deal.
