Disney Abu Dhabi Theme Park: Secretive Project Hits War-Torn Roadblocks
Disney's Abu Dhabi theme park has been shrouded in secrecy since its announcement last May. Despite promises from CEO Josh D'Amaro that it will be 'the most advanced and interactive destination' in Disney's portfolio, an official opening date remains a mystery.
The park, to be built and operated by Miral, is valued at $10 billion and expected to open in the first quarter of 2033. However, this timeframe may not hold up due to ongoing war in the Middle East, which has caused shipping delays in the region.
Miral's commitment to the project remains strong, with no need for Disney to provide capital, only its brand, characters, and designers. This suggests that despite setbacks, the park is still on track.
