Disney Accused of Negligence in Child Actress's On-Set Abuse Allegations
A former child actress has accused Disney of negligence in allowing her to be repeatedly raped and sexually assaulted by a studio worker during production of The Poof Point, a 2001 Disney Channel original movie.
According to court documents filed by Raquel Lee's lawyer Doug Wigdor, the alleged assailant was a 'middle-aged, male employee' who groomed and then assaulted Lee on multiple occasions in his hotel room and on a flight back to Los Angeles.
The complaint also alleges that the man made 'sexually explicit comments about' Lee's body while working with minors on set, including around her 14-year-old self.
Lee claims that Disney executives attacked her after she began showing signs of trauma, accusing her of being 'out of control,' needing Jesus,' and engaging in sex acts with a member of the crew at the age of 14.
