Disney Adjusts Magic Kingdom Hours Ahead of Halloween Party Season
Walt Disney World has continued to make adjustments to its operating calendar for Magic Kingdom. The latest updates show that select dates in late August will see a combination of earlier early entry times, later closing hours, and reduced Lightning Lane prices.
The changes affect four dates: August 17, 19, 20, and 22, which now close at 11 p.m., giving standard ticket-holders more time to enjoy the park. On these dates, Early Theme Park Entry will start at 7:30 a.m. for eligible guests.
Additionally, on party nights (August 18 and 21), early entry will begin at 7:30 a.m., matching the treatment given to the season's first three party dates. The Lightning Lane Premier Pass price drops to its lowest point of the season on these dates, with prices starting from $359.
On August 23 and 25 (both party days), the cost of the Premier Pass will be sub-$300 at $299 per guest. Disney's pattern suggests that it is re-engineering both the schedule and pricing around the Halloween party season, lengthening the days it can lengthen, discounting the days it can't, and giving non-party dates more room to run.
