Disney Adult Defends Herself Against 'Peter Pan Girl' Backlash
A Disney adult and Disneyland enthusiast has been at the center of controversy after a viral TikTok video showed her interacting with Peter Pan.
Christina Toni Kulusich, who goes by @BabyToni99 on TikTok, shared a video in July that received over 44 million views. In it, she is seen giving Peter Pan a handmade crocheted keychain and posing for a photo together.
Kulusich explained to USA Today that the interaction was completely misunderstood and that her interest in Peter Pan is not an obsession but rather a hobby. She described herself as a 'Disney adult' who has had an annual Disneyland pass since 2015 and tries to visit once a week, saying it allows her to release her inner child.
Kulusich's defense comes after several actors who work at Disney theme parks spoke out about run-ins with creepy adult fans. One former Walt Disney World actor said she was routinely harassed by men while in character, and another reported being warned by supervisors about adult patrons who might figure out their real identities.
