Disney and Formula 1 Unleash 'Fuel the Magic' Across Global Racing Circuits
Disney's and Formula 1's multi-year collaboration 'Fuel the Magic' has reached new heights in its second year, bringing Disney's beloved characters to life in a way that combines storytelling with racing culture. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse have been track-side at several events this season, including the Australian Grand Prix in March.
At the Chinese Grand Prix, the collaboration expanded further with original content, immersive entertainment, and global product drops inspired by each host city's unique energy. The partnership has also seen Disney x Formula 1 Velocity Collection and new Disney x Formula 1 items being released throughout the season.
In a special move to give back to the community, Disney, Formula 1, and Make-A-Wish have teamed up on a collaboration that brings a little extra meaning to race weekend. Two custom racing helmets were designed by Bret Iwan, the official voice of Mickey Mouse, under the creative direction of Bobby Kim, Global Creative Director for Disney Consumer Products.
The helmets will be auctioned off via F1 Authentics with net proceeds donated to Make-A-Wish International, helping grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses and their families outside the U.S. when they need it most. The partnership has also seen Lightning McQueen arrive at Monza ahead of Lightning McQueen Day on September 5, taking place from September 4-6.
