Disney and Pokémon Team Up for New Stop-Motion Animated Series

The Pokémon Company International and Disney have formed a distribution deal to bring new and classic animated series to Disney+. The partnership will include a stop-motion animated series called Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu created by Aardman, the studio behind Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep. The series follows Sirfetch'd and Pichu as they help and protect other Pokémon in the Galar Region.

The show is set to debut on Disney XD and stream exclusively on Disney+ in 2027, although an official release date has not been announced. This new agreement marks a significant partnership between the two companies, bringing classic and new Pokémon content to a global audience.
