Disney and TikTok Partner for User-Generated Content Deal
Disney and TikTok have partnered in a 'first-of-its-kind' content-sharing deal, where TikTok videos from Disney fans will live on both platforms.
The social media company and entertainment giant are collaborating to feature vertical video feeds on the Disney+ mobile app. The partnership will give creators access to characters from Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars to create videos with.
This marks a significant move for Disney as they 'actively lean into' short-form content. The last time they partnered with another company was with OpenAI's Sora, but that deal ended when the video generator was shut down in March.
