Disney Animation Comes Alive at Hollywood Studios with Magic of Disney Animation

The Magic of Disney Animation has finally opened its doors at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios. The new attraction takes guests on an immersive journey through the world of Disney animation, recreating actual studio departments and bringing beloved characters to life.

At the heart of the experience is a recreation of the Roy E. Disney Animation Building in Burbank, complete with Mickey Mouse's iconic Sorcerer Hat. Inside, guests can explore various departments, including Drawn to Wonderland, Off the Page, Olaf Draws, and the Once Upon A Studio Theater.

Drawn to Wonderland is an indoor playground designed for younger guests, featuring concept art by Disney Legend Mary Blair. The space includes interactive elements such as the Mad Tea Party, the Mad Hatter's house, and the Cheshire Cat's Tulgey Wood.

Off the Page takes character meet-and-greets to a new level, with guests able to interact with Mulan in the Story department, Rapunzel in the Layout department, and other Disney characters in various animation departments. The experience is a collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Olaf Draws offers an all-new Audio-Animatronics figure of Olaf, who teaches character drawing techniques through recorded lessons from Disney Animation artists. Meanwhile, the Once Upon A Studio Theater showcases the Emmy-winning short film that inspired the entire experience, with enhanced effects placing characters within the artwork lining the theater walls.
