Disney Animation Experience Cuts Hours Just Weeks After Public Debut

The Magic of Disney Animation at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World is reducing its operating hours starting September 28th. The experience, which soft opened ahead of its official September 14th debut, was initially running daily from 9am to 9pm. After the public opening, those hours will drop to 10am to 6pm.

The Magic of Disney Animation includes multiple experiences inside the building formerly home to Star Wars: Launch Bay. Guests can learn to sketch Disney animated characters at Olaf Draws and meet characters in recreations of specific animation departments at Off the Page. There's also a playground for younger guests, Drawn to Wonderland, drawing from Mary Blair's original concept art for Alice in Wonderland.

Disney has not provided a reason for the hour reduction, which comes shortly after the experience's public debut. The Magic of Disney Animation is part of the Walt Disney Studios Lot courtyard that opened to guests on May 20, 2026.
