Disney Animation Studios Smashes Box Office Records With Zootopia 2

Walt Disney Animation Studios has achieved another historic milestone at the global box office. Their latest release, Zootopia 2, surpassed the $1 billion threshold in just 17 days, making it the fastest-ever billion-dollar earner among all animated MPA releases and PG-rated films.

This achievement marks a back-to-back billion-dollar success for Disney Animation Studios, following Moana 2 last year. The studio now boasts five billion-dollar titles since 2013: Frozen, Frozen 2, Moana 2, Zootopia, and now Zootopia 2.

Inside Out 2 has become the highest-grossing animated film of 2024, with a staggering $1.69 billion worldwide gross since its June 14 debut. Ne Zha 2 has surpassed Inside Out 2 as the highest-grossing animated film ever, with a current gross of $1.698 Billion.
