A beloved character from Walt Disney's classic EPCOT attraction Journey Into Imagination is returning after decades of fan complaints. The ride, which first opened in 1982, was closed and reopened several times over the years with changes to its storyline and characters. When it reopened in 2002 as Journey Into Imagination with Figment, Dreamfinder was noticeably absent.

Fans have been calling for Dreamfinder's return ever since, but Imagineers only recently confirmed that he will be part of a revamped version of the ride. While details about the new attraction are scarce, Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum and actor Neil Patrick Harris, dressed as Dreamfinder, made the announcement at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

The return of Dreamfinder marks another step in Walt Disney Imagineers' efforts to restore classic attractions to their former glory. Over the past year, the company has revamped several rides across its four theme parks, including Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets and Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress.
