Disney Brings Magic to North Carolina With Luxury Residential Development
The Walt Disney Company has revealed its latest residential development, Asteria, in North Carolina's Chatham Park. This 1,500-acre themed neighborhood is being developed by Storyliving by Disney and will offer a touch of Disney magic to its residents.
Asteria's entrance was designed by Disney Imagineers, who used local metavolcanic rock, quartz, and rhyolite for the dry stacking technique. The design aims to connect the entryway to the surrounding land, which features topography that rises gently before falling.
The community will offer nine phases of construction, adding 4,000 homes in total. Residents will have access to shared spaces, including dining, fitness, and event areas inspired by the film Peter Pan. The Second Star Club is one such amenity bundle, designed to serve as the neighborhood's social hub.
Asteria is set to welcome its first residents in 2027, making it the second Disney community under construction, following Cotino in California. Homes in Cotino are selling for up to $2 million, giving an idea of the luxury and exclusivity that Asteria promises to offer.
