Disney Cast Member Saves Child from Parade Float
A child narrowly avoided being struck by a parade float at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom Park after running into the road to wave at Moana during the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade.
The incident was captured on camera by the child's mother, who had been recording her daughter waving at the character from behind a yellow line taped on the road. When Moana waved back, the girl suddenly ran towards the moving float, but a quick-acting Disney cast member managed to intercept her just in time.
The mother caught up and walked her child back behind the safety line, and fortunately, no one was injured. The incident sparked some backlash from Disney fans, who criticized the mother for focusing on filming rather than keeping a closer eye on her child.
