Disney Celebrates Cartoon Studio Legacy with Block Party

The Walt Disney Company is celebrating the second anniversary of its Disney Bros. Cartoon Studio Square in Los Feliz, California. In partnership with the city of Los Angeles and Los Angeles County, D23 will host a free block party on September 13, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The event honors the legacy of Walt and Roy Disney, who founded the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio in 1923 at the back of a tiny real estate office in Los Feliz. The studio produced classic cartoons such as 'The Skeleton Dance' and 'Alice Comedies.'

The block party will feature photo opportunities, community tables, skating demonstrations, and other activities for families to enjoy. D23 will also have a booth at the event.
