Disney Changes ExEH Schedule to Manage Crowd Distribution

Walt Disney World has made changes to its Extended Evening Hours (ExEH) schedule. The perk, available to guests staying at Deluxe Resorts, allows them to visit a designated park for two hours after regular closing time.

This fall, ExEH will return to Magic Kingdom every Wednesday between now and August 19, 2026. After that, it's likely that Magic Kingdom won't host the event again until January 2027.

The reason for this change is Party Season. Disney's Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom take over hosting duties once Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party kicks in. With Magic Kingdom already closing early multiple nights a week, Disney needs to redistribute crowds by moving ExEH to another park.
