Disney Closes Port Orleans Resort Lounge for Six Month Refurbishment
Disney's Port Orleans Resort, French Quarter has announced that it will close Scat Cat's Club, Café and Scat Cat's Club, Lounge for refurbishment on October 6, 2026. This closure is part of a larger trend of location closures across the Walt Disney World Resort.
The café and lounge will reopen in December and January 2027, respectively. During this time, guests staying at the resort can find temporary solutions, including a bar that will operate near the café from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Beignets and coffee will also be available at Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory.
Guests with stays booked between October 6, 2026, and the projected reopening dates should plan ahead and familiarize themselves with the resort's layout and temporary amenities.
