Disney Confirms 'Zootopia 3' in Development with Bird-Themed Twist

Disney has confirmed that 'Zootopia 3' is in development. The announcement was made at the D23: The Ultimate Fan Event during Disney's Entertainment Showcase, where animation head Jared Bush joined Ginnifer Goodwin and Ke Huy Quan on stage to confirm the news.

The first film, released in 2016, became a billion-dollar movie and introduced audiences to Judy Hopps, a rookie officer in the Zootopia Police Department. The sequel, released in 2025, built upon this success, bringing in almost $2 billion at the box office.

According to Jared Bush, the third instalment will focus on introducing birds into the franchise. While no details have been revealed regarding a release date for 'Zootopia 3', it is clear that Disney Animation Studios is committed to continuing the story of Judy Hopps and her friends in Zootropolis.
