Disney Cruise Line Japan Sets Sail for Tokyo in 2029
The Oriental Land Company has shared its plans for its upcoming cruise venture, Disney Cruise Line Japan. According to a financial report released this week, the company aims to launch a new ship in 2029 that will depart from Tokyo International Cruise Terminal.
The ship, which is based on the Disney Wish with some elements adapted for the Japanese market, will offer 2-4 night short-term cruises with prices ranging from ¥100,000 to ¥300,000. The target demographic is families, the younger generation, and international travelers.
The report also revealed that the ship's registry is currently planned to be Japan, with a tonnage of approximately 140,000 gross tons and a capacity for around 4,000 people. The investment required for this project is estimated at ¥290 billion, with a contingency fund of ¥40 billion.
