Disney D23 2026: A Record-Breaking Day of Announcements for Parks and Resorts
At D23 2026, Disney unveiled an unprecedented number of announcements for its parks and resorts worldwide. Walt Disney Imagineering revealed that a second season of The Imagineering Story, which explores the creation of iconic Disney attractions, is in production and set to arrive on Disney+ in early 2028.
Disney also announced updates to several classic attractions, including Carousel of Progress, which will feature new hosts Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston. The attraction's 1980s scene will be updated for the first time when the changes debut in late spring 2027.
The company is bringing back beloved entertainment at Disneyland Resort, including a refreshed Remember... Dreams Come True fireworks spectacular, an updated version of World of Color, and the return of Magic Happens in summer 2027.
