Disney D23: Major Announcements for Upcoming Movies and TV Shows

At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California, Disney fans gathered to hear about upcoming movies and TV shows. Among the announcements was Frozen 3, which will feature a wedding, new villain, love interest, and music when it hits theaters on November 24, 2027.

The live-action Tangled movie is coming to theaters on March 31, 2028, while Coco 2 will premiere in November 2029. Princess Diaries 3 is currently underway with Anne Hathaway announcing the project onstage.

Other notable announcements include X-Men's new cast featuring Adam Driver and Kit Connor, Zootopia 3, Star Wars: Starfighter on May 28, 2027, and The Incredibles 3 in summer 2028. Ahsoka season two premieres on January 20, 2027, on Disney+ with the first trailer of the new season released.

The Walt Disney Co. announced several other projects including VisionQuest starring Paul Bettany, Oswald, a three-part mini-series featuring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians season three arriving on November 20.
