Disney Ditches Tabasco for Tapatío Across Walt Disney World Resort
Walt Disney World has started replacing Tabasco hot sauce at various locations with Tapatío. The change is part of a resort-wide rollout, which began at least as far back as last week when it was spotted at ABC Commissary.
The switch from Tabasco to Tapatío is happening across the Walt Disney World Resort, including at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Magic Kingdom. This comes after the introduction of new Heinz condiment dispensers, which have been popping up at various locations following the partnership between Kraft Heinz and Disney announced in July.
Tapatío and Tabasco have distinct flavor profiles, with Tapatío containing water, red peppers, garlic, spices, and other ingredients, resulting in a somewhat thicker sauce with a different balance of heat and flavor. The change is likely due to the partnership between Kraft Heinz and Disney, which has led to the introduction of new condiment dispensers.
